We have been beavering away in the background, preparing for our new season.

New jams. New chutneys. New marmalades... and new ceramics, wooden items, jewellery, textiles and cards.

We shall be bringing lots of these to Leeds Corn Exchange on 11-13 September, with Little Fox Charity Craft Fairs . See you there!

We don't just do jam... had a go at a drawn thread work tray cloth, with tatted lace edging.

No, it is not for sale - you must be out of your tiny mind... do you have any idea how many HOURS this took???

However, opened the kiln the other day. Here is what we have in stock... other bits to follow... (the numbers were to remind me of the glaze combinations)

Well, have been thinking about this for some time... we go to some fantastic events, but what exactly makes them so?
The people we meet.

The man on his bike, who goes out every Saturday to buy his food, and to have a chat. The newly married couple, enjoying being out together, looking for unprocessed foods. The young student, missing home, who buys a jar of plum jam to remind her of her grandma. The ex-pat Yorkshire couple who take some Yorkshire jams and chutneys to enjoy in far flung places ( Hertfordshire). The lady buying a piece of ceramic as it caught her eye, and will just go in that space. The little folk character which is so lovely she was going home with an elderly lady. Things purchased because they make people smile.

All with a chat; some interaction; a laugh..

It isn't just those who choose to buy something, it is those who pause to look and comment, and also the other stall-holders. We stand together in a temporary community. We interact. We support each other, share our thoughts and experiences, and mind each others stalls when we have to nip to the toilet!

As human beings, we need interactions.

Well, we finally got our car back last night... it had been stolen... and were able to attend the Wakefield hospice fundraising strawberries, coffee and cake event at Sandal Rugby Club.

Hope they raised a lot of money!

We have escaped for a little R and R after a very stressful time. Normal service will hopefully be resumed soon!.. Saturday 27 June.
