We're Hiring:
Van Conversion Electrician / Electrical Contractor (230V AC & DC 12V)

📍 Location: Wild Camping Vans Unit 3, Tavern Works, Skinner lane, Pontefract (WF8 1HG)
In-person at our premium workshop

💰 Rate: £250 – £400 per day (Depending on experience)

🔄 Type: Sub-contract / Self-employed | Ongoing regular work available.

Wild Camping Vans is an established, specialized team building premium, high-end off-grid campervans.

We are looking for a reliable, passionate Electrician to take ownership of their work in our 12V and 230V AC systems.

🛠️ What you’ll be doing:
Advanced 12V Installations: Fitting & commissioning full systems (LiFePO4 Lithium, AGM, smart split chargers, MPPT solar controllers).( We can help bring you up to spec on our in-house systems,we have workbooks that really help if you have a foundation of DC knowledge, and getting qualified is easier than you think if you have your domestic certificate in place.

230V AC Power: Installing consumer units, hook-ups, shore power, and high-spec inverters.
Safety & Compliance: Carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics, and signing off every vehicle strictly to BS 7671 standards.
📋 What we are looking for:

Qualifications: Level 3 Electrical Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/EAL) + 18th Edition (C&G 2382-22).

Expertise: Deep understanding of battery chemistry, charging profiles, and thermal/fire safety.

The Wild Camping Standard: Someone who takes immense pride in neat, flush, and beautifully logical wiring layouts. (Our clients expect perfection under the seats and behind the panels!)

(Note: If you have your Level 3 and 18th Edition but are missing specific vehicle/leisure electronics experience, top-up training is available ).
