There’s plenty more to come. Stay tuned, we’ve got some exciting things in the works that we can’t wait to share.

How long would you trust a Thinwall cable if its tracer colour could disappear?

It might seem like a small detail, but the way the tracer stripe is applied can have a real impact on vehicle wiring. If the tracer wears away, identifying circuits becomes more difficult, making future repairs and fault finding slower and increasing the risk of mistakes.

That's why the difference between an extruded tracer and a painted stripe matters. One is permanently built into the insulation, while the other is only on the surface.

We’ve put together a short blog that explains the difference between extruded and painted tracers, why it matters in automotive applications, and a few simple ways to tell them apart in the workshop.
