The Firework Store Selling a fantastic range of fireworks to the people of Wakefield and surrounding areas since 2004, We've been selling fireworks since 2004 in Wakefield.

We cater for all needs and budgets. We've a great range of smaller fireworks for that small garden Bonfire Night with the kids, right the way through to a decent sized pub display. As we've been doing this so long, what we offer our customers is advise on all aspects of fireworks. We offer genuine advice on products, setting up, legislation and we can even pick you a display to your budget. This i

s what we excel at, we know what we're talking about. Customers trust us, we don't sell you something you don't want, we don't upsell to the dearest thing in the shop. So if all you want is a small selection box, some sparklers and a small pack of rockets, we're still here and we'll help you all we can. If you're putting on a small display, we'll help design it for you and even give you a firing order. I've seen kids come in with their parents from years ago, now over 18 and buying their own fireworks for their families. All our fireworks are at the best prices we can do and we are a "proper" firework shop. We sell quality fireworks at a good price. We've a reputation to uphold and I won't compromise that to make a quick quid. We're open all year, not just for the peak selling periods. So please, if you're looking for fireworks, come and see us, we don't bite and we're confident that you'll do far better than a Supermarket, or a pop-up shop, that disappears on November 11th.

Just a little announcement to say we’re sneaking off on holiday for a bit.
While we’re off pretending to relax like functional adults, the shop will be closed from Saturday, 25th April, until Wednesday, 13th May.
So unfortunately, we won’t be able to process any orders, no collections, no “quick questions”, no “while you’re there…” I’ve officially switched myself off and wandered away like a laptop that’s decided it needs an update at the worst possible moment.
Don’t worry — we’re not running away forever. Expect us back slightly disoriented, mildly feral, and ready to resume normal service and at least one story that begins with “You’ll never believe what happened…”
Till then… assume we're somewhere being mildly confused.

After weeks of wrestling spreadsheets, arguing with a computer that sounded like it was preparing for lift‑off, and watching so many slow‑motion explosions that my eyes now sparkle like a Catherine wheel, the firework orders for this year are FINALLY done.
The new range is huge (possibly too huge, but we’ll cross that bridge when the pallets arrive), the videos are mostly finished because sleep is clearly optional, and the website has been updated so aggressively it’s probably drafting a formal complaint.
There are still a few last‑minute bits trickling in because chaos is tradition at this point, but I’m calling it: the orders are in, the madness is complete, and I’m going to go stare at a wall in silence for a bit.

What a game!!

As usual, we did our classic trick of starting very slowly and found ourselves a fair few goals down at half time.

Some strong and inspiring words from Rob at half time clearly did the trick and the comeback was on!

The roar from the crowd genuinely helped spur the team on and created a fantastic atmosphere 👏

After a bonkers 2025, and before 2026 fully realises it’s supposed to calm down (it’s only January and it’s already getting busy), we’ve decided to escape for a bit of sunshine… or at least some slightly warmer rain.
So we’re officially closed from 25th January and back in action on Wednesday 4th February.
If you need us in the meantime, we’ll be too busy arguing over sun loungers and pretending we know how to relax.
See you soon, hopefully slightly less pale and frazzled.
