Last August our customer Bruce decided to take part in the famous Clipper Round the World Boat Race aboard the TONGYEONG. His amazing, and very understanding, wife Nicky would fly out to many exotic locations to meet her husband and the crew on their stop overs. Every time she went she took along a large bag of our sweets for each of the crew. The exhausted crew were delighted to be on land and to enjoy a bag of our sweets. The taste of our traditional sweets gave them a real taste of home.

Upon her return Nicky would come into the shop to give us an update on the race and to tell us about how excited everyone was to receive the sweets.

The race has taken them to Uruguay, Cape Town, through the Southern Ocean to Fremantle and on to Airlie Beach. They then continued to South Korea, Seattle, Washington and will finish in Portsmouth in July.

We are chuffed to have played a very small part in this epic adventure and thank you Nicky and Bruce for making us feel included in this amazing race.

We can now say that our sweets have literally been around the world!
