After a recovery day from the heat yesterday, it’s disappointing to come in to see our shop poster has been ripped down. This is within our building that we pay rent for and was a vital piece of branding to show you all where we are so it’s very upsetting to see this.

We’d like to think it says more about the person who ripped it down than what we’re doing in our town. We post all the time about which projects we help but we appreciate some may have missed this. All you have to do is check out our Instagram and pages or our community board in the shop. We’re continuously doing what we can.

We also offer our fantastic customers the chance to buy our pieces at amazing prices. We’re doing our bit for the community and we hope the community can do their bit for us by just shopping with us!

⚠️Sorry guys it’s just got too warm for us to carry on today. We haven’t seen anyone for a little while so we’re gonna head home to shower and drink some iced drinks!

In all honesty, we’re probably gonna stay home tomorrow too. We’ll keep you posted before 10am.

We know not every house / flat or room stays cool in this weather. So if your only option is out, then we’re open today for you to cool down from the direct sunlight if you’re in town.

Our neighbours at J’s Sandwich World can provide milkshakes and cold drinks if you need to really reset as well as other delicious cold or hot baguettes and sandwiches. Check them out.

We’ve got some lovely summer dresses and tops, as well as sandals and lighter shoes. Ice bucket, ice grater, thermos flasks for cold drinks, and lots, lots more!

Men’s, Kid’s and Women’s at a fraction of the cost of new. Second hand thrifting at its best in Wallingford with all the choice you have between us and our neighbouring charity and second hand shops. 😍😍😍

⚠️ Advanced Warning… ⚠️

As we all know this week is going to be a hot one!

Please head in to see us early in the day, we open at 10am daily, as our closing hours may vary depending on how hot we get in our little shop. 🥵

It’s only worth it to stay open if people head down and see us, but we completely understand that if it gets too warm people won’t walk this far.

Feel free to check our stories before heading down as I will try and update that if we do close early any of the days where it exceeds 30 degrees.

Thanks for your understanding !

We don’t have a freezer for ice creams to cool us down so are relying on some chilled fridge water (and tea?!) 🤣

👙🩱We have some lovely swimwear if you’re planning to head to a pool or beach this weekend. 🏊‍♀️

We even have a wet suit if you’re really heading out to surf!

🩴Towels and flip flops or sandals to make sure you’re well equipped to dry off afterwards.

And this brilliant picnic rucksack is a great find with everything you need to have a chilled afternoon in the sun but stay hydrated and fed! There’s even a cooling section for that lovely bottle of wine 🍷

Happy Monday!

This week Stickman wants to know what you want to see in our lovely boutique that will keep your interest in returning to shop with us!

We work hard to keep our stock fresh, interesting and affordable, but we want to hear what YOU are always searching for!

We always need you to shop with us so we can continue doing what we can for our community, and your opinions matter!

So comment below what you’d like to see from us that we are perhaps missing. We want you, our valuable customers to be happy with your shopping experience and share your visit with friends who will then in turn come and find some lovely things. A tag for us and our mission goes further than you think.

*Plea for donations as Tombola prizes*

We’re trading at this year’s Stoke Row Steam Rally.

We have a wide range of clothes (including show exclusives that haven’t been in the shop yet!), collectibles, toys and other bits for sale but we’re also holding a Tombola so you can win prizes on the day!

We have a nice selection so far, however we need some more prizes to offer our event customers to make it worth their while playing.

Would any local businesses be kind enough to donate something to our Tombola? Or if you personally have unwanted unopened gifts?

Happy to collect from Wallingford before Friday if anyone can help or would be very grateful if anyone can drop off to the shop at 24a St Mary’s Street.
