It's nearly time! Autumn approaches and I felt that we had a little autumnal shaped gap in our tiny tins designs by Leigh shepherd .
So I asked Leigh if she'd draw us a little mushroom design, and it is so adorable, I just love it!
Plus we are adding an earthy russet colour to the hand painted sprig designs, which all have a little flash of gold to make them magical. All made over the hill in Haworth, West Yorkshire.

A busy craft night tonight with drawing, knitting, paper piecing, ribbon embellishment and needle felting. Lots of tea, snacks and varied conversations 😄. We are so lucky to have such a great group! We meet the third Thursday of the month, book via our website.

I'm excited to be stocking this brand new knitting magazine from the USA, PURL PURL Magazine

PURL will build from Issue One into an amazing knitting resource, with each issue taking a deeper dive into a different knitting technique or style.

Issue one starts, of course, with casting on! It's packed with related tutorials, articles and patterns by some of the most respected designers and technicians from the knitting world; PURL will be invaluable to both experienced and newbie knitters!

I've managed to secure some more copies after the original order sold out to my subscribers, so grab one quickly while you can. We hope that delivery will be sometime from the middle of August.

PURL is the sister magazine to weaving magazine, WEFT and spinning magazine PLY. We're also stocking these from the current issues, but will order back issues on request in our autumn delivery. Just get in touch with me by email.

We've had a big delivery of goods from The Industrious Maker this month!
These truly unique pattern weights are always a favourite. With their industrial feel and vintage style illustrations, they are solidly made in the UK by Gill and packed in gorgeous boxes which are a lovely item in themselves.

Finding Instagram a bit of a slog at the moment 😬 so here's an old pic of me by the lovely Sarah Mason with some organic Scanfil thread. The 100m reels are being discontinued but we do have decent stock levels of most colours except the white and ivory. So stock up whilst you can!
We also sell the 274m reels which are much better value but not as popular for some reason.
Anyway, hope you are all having a lovely summer.
