CIT Camping Family run camping shop in Walton-On-Thames, selling camping equipment and undertaking tent repairs and alterations.

CIT Camping evolved out of Costurn Industrial Textiles, a company established in 1973 by Peter Cosson and his best friend, Ken Turner. Having worked for 20 years with Neilson’s Sailmakers in Molesey, Peter decided to start his own business working with textiles. He soon obtained a contract from Distillers (now known as Air Liquide) to produce pipe freezing jackets – a product we still make to this

day. In addition to manufacturing, the company also offered a repairs and alterations service, with most items brought in by campers and caravaners. To better serve these customers, a camping shop was opened alongside the workshop, and we continue to provide both of these services today at CIT Camping.
