A message from Alan, who keeps the Birch Road area looking blooming lovely - he's got straight to work with his strimmer thanks to you - our amazing community!! 🌸🌼

"I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the Wardle community who contributed to the JustGiving page to help fund a new cordless strimmer. Thanks to your generosity, this has now become a community strimmer for everyone to benefit from.

What originally began as a simple idea to install two memorial plaques for special friends has grown into something truly meaningful — a peaceful garden, complete with a bench for reflection.

Special thanks go to the Addy family for kindly allowing us to use their land, making this project possible. I’d also like to thank Stephen Fleming for his invaluable help and for the use of his Bow Top Caravan.

The amount raised exceeded all expectations. The remaining funds will be used to purchase plants, bushes, and other additions to further enhance the space.

All garden equipment, including the strimmer, will now support Wardle in Bloom projects across various areas of the village.

Thank you again to everyone involved — this has been a true community effort."

Edit: We have now raised the money! And more besides. Thank you all so much. Any extra money will be spent of buying trees, shrubs, plants etc for the area! 😀

We are hoping to raise £100 for a cordless strimmer to keep Wardle In Bloom areas looking their best! Alan already does an amazing job on the Birch Road Area, this will really give him a helping hand!
