Fancy a fun day out at Ware Priory? Hertfordshire Constabulary, with support from Ware Town Council, is hosting a free Police Community Day this Sunday 13th September, 11–3pm.🚔👮

There’ll be loads going on for all the family, with a chance to meet local police officers and pick up some handy crime prevention tips.

Expect face painting, bouncy castles, a bungee run, boxing, hair braiding, sand art, children’s games, food stalls, local businesses plus plenty more! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

🏛️ Step Back in Time at Place House!

As part of Heritage Open Days 2026, Ware’s Grade I-listed medieval Place House will be open to visitors on Saturday 12th September, 11am–3pm.

Explore this fascinating historic building and enjoy free Tudor-themed activities, including dressing up, a Tudor dining table and making your own fragrant nosegay. ☕ Plus, enjoy tea and homemade cake while discovering more about the history of Place House.

🏊‍♀️ There's still time for a warm outdoor swim! While lots of outdoor pools are starting to close for the summer, Ware Priory Lido is staying open 7 days a week, with the heating on, right through until Sunday 27th September! 💦

That means you’ve still got four more weeks of warm outdoor swimming before the heating is switched off and cold water season begins in October. Make the most of it while you can! 🌊☀️

Herts Open Studios is back, and is once again taking part! 🎨

Pop along from 5–27th September to meet 6 talented local artists, view their work, watch them in action and find out more about what inspires them. There’ll also be some free activities and subsidised workshops in painting, printmaking and mandala making.

September is shaping up to be a brilliant month in Ware, here’s our guide to what’s on!🍺🎨🎷

Enjoy a weekend of great beer, live music and good food at the Billetfest Beer Festival from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September. With 14 real ales, three ciders, live music from local bands and a Sunday hog roast. Friday is 4pm–11pm, with Saturday and Sunday running from noon–11pm.

Herts Open Studios returns for its 36th year at Southern Maltings. Visitors can meet the artists, explore their work and watch demonstrations. Entry and some activities are free, with subsidised workshops in painting, printmaking and mandala making also available.

Enjoy an afternoon of free live music on the back lawn at Ware Priory Gardens. Bring along a picnic, relax in the gardens and enjoy a selection of brass music from Ware Brass. All welcome, with the Priory Bar open for refreshments.

Join Ware Poets for an evening celebrating local poetry, featuring accomplished poets Tashaney Hibbert-Jones, Ray Harper and Andrew Geary. Expect an engaging evening of spoken word and poetry. Tickets at .

Step into the world of the Trojan War, Achilles and Odysseus at with a unique AI-guided museum experience. Try out new AI-powered museum technology including a 40–50 minute guided tour. Tickets at Ware Drill Hall.

Experience the glamour and energy of Barry’s Swing Orchestra. Enjoy live music alongside homemade tea and cake or a drink from the pop-up bar. All ages and abilities are welcome. Tickets at Southern Maltings.

Take a stroll through Tudor Square this Saturday, 22nd August, and enjoy an afternoon of live music, classic cars and a great atmosphere at Music & Motors, taking place from 12–5pm. 🚗🎶💙

Wander among the pride and joy of local car collectors, admire the cars on display and hear the stories behind some of the wheels. With live music adding to the atmosphere, it’s set to be a great afternoon out in the heart of Ware.
