Having a redesign of the back border and the spade hit something solid…never did I expect to find a huge stone cube buried there! I have managed to dig around it and somehow get a sack truck underneath…but now I’m stuck! 😳 why is there a stone cube in my garden? What is it for? And most importantly…What do I do next?

BUTTS…are you putting yours to good use? Have you thought about harvesting grey water? I’ve installed a water butt to collect shower water to use on the flower beds. If you decided to give this a go just be careful not to use grey water on anything you want to eat and ensure that water is used promptly to reduce the risk of bacterial growth. The RHS have an article about grey water and say it can be used for up to 6 weeks in periods of drought. It’s RAINING!! Cannot begin to tell you how exciting this is! Yes…I absolutely did go outside and just stand in it with my arms outstretched and face to the sky! Let’s hope we get enough to rescue our parched plants!
