Everyone has a past
A sad story, a heartbreak
Everyone knows pain
There's a limit we can take

Everyone's been hurt
Through no fault of there own
Everyone's felt lonely
And longed to feel at home

My love you are not broken
Your heart will mend I'm sure
But you won't be the same person
As you were before

With pain comes strength my dear
With lies come hurtful truth
With sun comes rain my love
Age comes after youth

Keep building up your walls
And sharpening your sword
There's more to fight my dear
Not of your accord

Your circle will get smaller
But filled up more with love
The genuine will stay
You know you are enough

Face each day fearless
Smile through the pain
Because sunshine comes my darling
After all the rain ☔

Two little lines
We are feeling unsure
A little excited
Are we ready for more?

The happiness sets in
We learn to adjust
Getting everything ready
It will no longer be just us

The days go so quickly
The midwife we see
It's all coming real
We will soon become three

Then as quickly as it happened
It's taken away
You can feel it inside
You beg and you pray

Please don't be true
Your part of us now
Why has this happened
I just don't know how

Your hearts feeling empty
You've screamed and you've cried
But nothing feels better
Your grieving inside

There's no one to turn too
As it was too early to say
Your try to carry on
Push your feelings away

The cramps and the bleeding
The proof you were there
Your life just to precious
For this world to share

The days pass so slowly
Oh how can this be
Our future was planned
For when we became three

You won't be forgotten
No matter how small
You were my baby
You were part of us all ❤️

Intertwined
But stand alone
Your sanctuary
Your home
You bite
You love
You tremble
You never give it all
But let's be honest
Not many
Are worth you time
You fall
You rise
But not completely
Each time
A piece is lost
You trust
But never fully
Love?
But at what cost
Never participate
But always watching
You know
You know how this ends
Broken
Empty
Incomplete
Love?
Or is it friends
Funny
Pretty
Unhinged
Which one?
Why not them all

But who do you call
One night

Memories

20 years ago
If you told me it was blue
Blue it would be
No matter what colour
I really did see

10 years ago
I'd still say it's blue
But maybe a different shade
To the one you thought true

But today
Il tell you it's pink
If pink is the colour
I really did think

Confidence grows
Mindsets change
Friendship groups
Now rearranged

We grow, we learn
And we adjust
Opinions change
And who we trust

Not everyone is meant
To follow your journey through
Time changes people
And life changes you

Now not a people pleaser
A mind of my own
Experiences have changed me
My inner self has grown

But I tell you what
I love her
This girl I have become
She's pretty damn resilient
A friend
A wife
A mum

And if you are oh so lucky
To join me on my ride
I must really truly love you
To want you by my side

I haven't got a minute for time wasters
Lies and rudeness leave
I want honesty and motivation
Let help each other succeed

Tell me when I'm wrong
Call me when your low
Life can be hard enough
Without lies and hurt in tow

Ignite each other's lives
Support, guide and achieve
Positive minds brings happiness
Negativity can leave ❤️

If I could have an hour
Or maybe a little more
To sit with you and hold your hand
Just like we did before

This world just sucks without you
Things just aren't the same
I wish I could hear your voice
I miss the way you said my name

Pictures, memories, songs
They all take me to you
Days seem to last forever
And forever is nothing without you

Work just makes me angry
How can life just carry on
Does no-one else notice
How empty the world is with you gone?

My heart just burns with pain
Like I'm losing more everyday
They say that times a healer
But I think this pain will stay

I often find myself
Just staring at the sea
It's where I feel most connected
It's where I know you would be

Sometimes I stay for hours
Just taking it all in
Talking to you within my mind
Waiting for something to begin

But what is it I'm waiting for?
My soul was lost with you
My adventures ended on that day
My dreams will not come true

Send me just a simple sign
Help me to get by
Tell me that all is not lost
Hold me whilst I cry

I know you wouldn't want this
You would want me to be strong
You would want me to have new dreams
Help me find the strength to carry on

For now il keep on gliding
Like a bird learning to fly
I promise you no matter what
Everyday I promise you il try

Where am I? She whispered
A dark room she lay
Echoes around her
But what do they say

Try harder, lose weight
Work more , progress
The daily life stresses
She tried her best

She pushed herself
She gave more each day
Now here in the darkness
Alone She lay

For none of it mattered
To each and to all
For all She could think of
Was who she would call

It's the people you see
The ones who care most
The ones who really know us
The ones who we host

The work would still be there
The money would go
The belongings, the house
It's just all for show

It's the love in our hearts
The warm feeling of home
It's the people who make you
Feel less on your own

It's the kisses on your cheeks
The hands holding yours
The arms around your waist
Ignoring your flaws

Because nothings more precious
More important than them
Your friends and your family
Your spouse and children

They are yours
Your reason, your why
Your everyday
For years gone by

When the day is feeling rough
And you wonder who you are
You to them are everything
Your there shining star 🌟

Let's turn down all the music
For a minute stop the noise
Take a second to be grateful
And make the correct choice

Each morning when you wake up
Count your blessings one by one
The fact that you are in a bed
Is a gift wanted by some

Health, hot water, electricity
A roof above your head
Babies tucked up warm
Bellies that have been fed

These today are luxuries
Not everyone can have
What some would give for a hot meal
Or too take a nice long bath

I ask of you to just be kind
Give back when you can
A smile hides so much pain
That many don't understand

Everyone is fighting a battle
Although not all the same
Being nice to one another
Can lesson some of the pain

I can't simply explain to you
How much you mean to me
In a world where love is scattered
And nothing comes for free

Your heartbeat is my favourite sound
Your laughter ignites my soul
Your smile is the biggest gift
Your happiness my only goal

Your tears could simply drown me
For you i would give all
I'd rather take a blow for you
Than see your spirit fall

I give myself so rarely
My trust is hard to gain
But you my child have all of me
I dance through storms and rain

If ever you doubt anything
Your lost or feel alone
Come to me my darling
For you to me are home ❤️

Who are you?' She asks to the image in the mirror
The voice so familiar but the shell unknown
She sees glimpses of her younger self
But lines where time has grown

She has nothing but love for this women looking back
A deep sense of pride too
But she feels lost as she traces the lines on her legs
Her stretch marks purple and blue

'I'm sorry' she murmurs as she notices the dark circles
The dark shadows where a glow used to be
She tugs at her hair and some falls to the floor
No longer full and glossy

She puts on some lipgloss and a brush to her cheeks
She ties her hair in a bun
Memories so vivid within her mind
Of the young her having fun

The crinkles by her eyes and bare nails
Maternity bras still on her back
'Il try harder' she says to the image
We will get ourself back on track

'Mummy' comes a voice from the next room
And a smile fills her whole face
'I'm still here' whispers a voice from inside
We will come together not replace ❤️

Have you ever been surrounded
But felt so all alone
Have you struggled to find the words
When talking on the phone

Have you ever adjusted your grip
Because you felt like letting go
Have you ever smiled and laughed
Yet the tears wanted to flow

Have you ever cancelled plans
Because going outside was too much
Have you ever screamed inside
Just from a simple touch

I know this sounds familiar
You know these feelings well
You seem upbeat and happy
But the truth you never tell

I know you want to talk
But you simply don't know how
The reason you can't pinpoint
But the time to speak is now

Just say your not OK
And you simply don't know why
Let someone embrace you
While you have that needed cry

Don't struggle on your own
Don't let it get to much
So many people love you
You have just got out of touch

Too many people lost
From struggling inside
Today come out the darkness
You no longer have to hide

We will walk this path together
Be kinder everyday
If we all make one small change
Then love will guide the way ❤️
