JAC Team Challenge 2026
RESULTS
The 31st annual fundraiser for our local junior anglers was held again over 6 venues including the river Avon, Grand Union canal & Kingfisher Pool.
15 teams competed with team CADENCE coming out on top with a cracking return of 16 points.
A close 2nd Sensas MG BLACK 18
3rd Sensas MG GREEN 31
4th Drennan Oxford 34
Individual winner with a huge weight of bream from the canal was Richard Steele 41lb 9oz.
A massive THANKYOU to all that supported the match, donated & purchased raffle tickets, helping to raise a great total of £744.00. This money helps our future anglers.
It takes a lot of people to get this match going each year, including pe***ng out, bank clearing etc so Thanks to all.
Venue peg fees are also donated by local clubs Barford, E.A.C, Kingfisher Pool & Rob & Fran at the canal... Many thanks.
The Nelson Club supplied breakfast at the draw & use of their function room after, Thanks to Jean & crew for the early start etc x
The 32nd Challenge next year will be as always the second Sunday of October/ 10th.

JAC Team Challenge Sunday 11th October 2026
15 teams.
Draw at Nelson Club Warwick 8.30am or a bit earlier if all captains/reps. are present, breakfast rolls available from 7.30am.
Each team captain/rep. will REGISTER & draw an envelope containing 6 tickets with there team pegs on.... IT IS UPTO THEM TO INFORM TEAM MEMBERS THERE PEGS ETC . Those drawing scales MUST TAKE THEM TO PEGS. I AM NOT DELIVERING SCALES TO PEGS, FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN POINTS DEDUCTED !!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
All team members must tell the scalesman & assistant there name & team name, NO EXCUSES YOU ALL MUST KNOW WHO YOU ARE FISHING FOR !!!!! Over the years this simple task causes problems and time working the results out.
Fishing will be from 10.30am - 3.30pm Scalesmen are in charge of times... nobody else !!
Results etc back at the Nelson Club after.
PLEASE any raffle prizes bring to the draw, dig deep for the raffle draw as ALL proceeds go towards our future young anglers.

JAC TEAM CHALLENGE 2026
15 teams fishing this Sunday 11th October on the river Avon through Warwick & Barford, GUC canal at Hatton & Kingfisher Pool. Raising funds for our local young anglers.
PLEASE can anglers avoid fishing this Sunday on the Avon from Emscote Road bridge through to Myton Road bridge.
Kingfisher pool.
Canal from Ugly bridge(by the petrol station Hatton) back 3 x pounds towards Warwick.
Barford above the weir.
