Going on holiday soon? Don’t forget to do these couple of jobs to ensure your plants and garden flourish while you’re away✈️

✂️Deadhead repeat flowering plants before you go, including flowers that are fully open so you come home to fresh blooms.
💧Water & feed potted plants, putting them in saucers to collect water and grouping them together in a shadier part of the garden to prevent them from drying out too quickly.
🌱Mow the lawn to encourage good growth & keep the weeds down, but don’t cut it too short, as it will be more susceptible to drought.

Hosepipe ban? Your garden can still flourish!☀️

Don't let the dry weather dampen your gardening spirit. A few simple changes can help your plants stay happy and healthy while making every drop count💧

✅ Water deeply at the roots in the early morning or evening, when cooler temperatures mean less water is lost to evaporation.
✅ Mulch around plants, pots and borders to lock in moisture, suppress weeds and keep roots cool.
✅ And when the rain finally returns (we know it will eventually! 🌦️), be ready with a water butt to collect and store rainwater for the weeks ahead.

Smart watering today means a stronger, more resilient garden tomorrow🌸
