A mottled adire fabric in a mixture of soft pink, yellows and sage.

Would look beautiful as pretty much anything. The mottled looks means you don't really have to worry about pattern matching or direction too much.

Another sewing pattern you can layer up with as the weather turns cooler.

Shweshwe is a cotton African print fabric produced in South Africa.

The more I read about this fabric the more I love it.

A lot of Sotho women in Southern Africa get married in the most beautiful wedding dresses that incorporate shwehshwe.

Originally it was only available in Indigos but a range of bright colourways are also available.

As well as some of these we have a selection of the indigos to purchase by the meter.

If you are looking for a tote that can fit almost everything then the Merchant and Mills Jack Tar is one for you.

It is a copious bucket bag which has space for an almost infinite amount of stuff. Fully lined with 3 divided internal pockets.

I've made a version in a shweshwe print which is lined with a contrasting wax print fabric. Any easy and enjoyable pattern and the bag is quite practical whilst still being stylish.
