Morning All
After speaking to several customers at the weekend its become apparent that we do not have much in the way of a regular place to play war games in Corby I have spoken to Sarah who runs the Corby Wargames Group and understand the issues she has with only being able to have the space available above the shop twice a month for club meets / Gaming nights.
I know there is a wide variety of games being collected, painted and purchased from both Sarah and myself in our local gaming community but as far as i can tell there isn't much option to actually play against each other on a regular basis.
I would like to get feed back from my local customers to see if there is any interest in me looking to source a more regular weekly space for around 3-4 hours per session where members can come along play games, talk hobby stuff and generally hang out for a few hours.
Currently i have looked at a venue in Weldon which can offer certain time slots both on a weeknight (Friday Evening) or at the weekend (Sunday evening) for a reasonable cost per session. It also has parking facilities outside the venue It roughly works out to £5 per person per evening. the venue can house up to 120 people so potentially thats a fair few games of 40K / Bolt Action / Konflikt 47 and others that could be played in one evening.
If this is something you as a member of the local Wargaming community would like to see happen please speak up 😀lets get some feedback and see what happens from there
