Hi everyone just to let you know I haven't retired yet sort of semi retired. I no longer stand on wellingborough market on fridays unfortunately it became untenable. The town centre is looking very tired and I believe people have lost the will to go shopping there anymore. Internet banking, online shopping and a general lack of half decent shops have all contributed to the demise. The new Northamptonshire council seems to have forgotten that wellingborough exists plenty of new homes and a town centre that's deserted. Anyway rant over I stand on Northampton market every Saturday ( weather permitting ) near the butcher's stall and still at st neots on Thursday.

Hi every body just to let you know i will be back after this latest lockdown. Starting this thursday 15th at St Neots Followded by Wellingborough on Friday 16th and Northampton on Saturday 17th look foward to seeing all the old faces and hopefully some new ones . Take care and stay safe.

Hi there everybody hope you had a merry xmas. Well now that all the places i stand with my books are in tier 4 i am unable to be there as being classed as non essential. I very much hope to see you all again in the new year ( when uncle boris says its safe to come out ). Hopefully we will all get through this and come out stronger because all the prosperity in the world dosen,t mean a thing when you and your loved one's can't be there to enjoy it.So i wish you all a happy and safe new year and see you all when its all over ( Sounds like the end of a war film ) Tony Books

Hi everybody well back at work after another lockdown. As per normal first two day's back god awful weather yesterday at St Neots and today at Wellingborough. Tomorrow at northampton first day back there weather forecast looking promising thats if you can believe the weather forecast sometimes i wonder if i'am in the same country as the forecast predictions. Anyway will be there and open from about 8.30 all being well hope to see people wrap up warm cos its going to be a bit chilly

Due to high winds and the bloody awful weather i will not be standing on Wellingborough Market tomorrow. Also as from November i will be changing my days as when i stand on Wellingborough Market. I will be standing ( hopefully Weather permitting ) on Fridays from now on starting Friday 6th November. I will be standing on Northampton Market on Saturdays starting the 7th November

Further to my recent post after 9 weeks of lockdown in which we have had glorious weather i can now go back to work on a wed ,thur and saturday. Guess what yup its going to p**s down on wed and thursday who the f@ is going to social distance when its p**sing down probably have 2 people at a time in my stall/stalls so if anybody else is about they have to stand in the rain whoopie you couldnt make this s**t up rant over

Hi everybody will resume working again this coming wednesday at northampton market ,Thursday at St Neots, & hopefully at Wellingborough on Saturday. I will trying out a different layout to try and make it easier for social distancing and easier for you to find your favorite authors. Please be aware that you may have to wait to get to your chosen books but i know you will all behave impeccably hope to see you all soon & stay safe.
