Recognise the sand worm? Fun Beetlejuice ears ready for the spooky season!

My sweet little bumblebees from my Pooh ears have been turned into beetles with iridescent jet black stones and little legs.

To match his suit I’ve added some feint mould and grime to the striped fabric, he’s not exactly known for his personal hygiene is he 😂

I was asked to make my version of the Disney bridal ears, as always gave the beautiful bride three options….. we went with option 1) the OMG did you see her ears! 😱

Individual flowers in various textures and sizes, lace, sequins, chiffon, silk and of course - crystals! Then if that wasn’t enough a stunning removable 39 inch double layered tulle veil with sparkles and flowers all sewn by hand, hours and hours of work.

If you’re interested she will be getting married in Pandora at Walt Disney World….. to say I’m a little envious is an understatement 😂

Moana ears complete with Maui’s magical fish hook!

Shimmery colour changing aquamarine AB glass crystals just like the colours in the tropical seas and a hessian bow with some beautiful frangipanis for the final touch.

I love these ears, simple but so pretty!

Swarovski ears….. yes that’s right, hundreds of pounds worth of Swarovski crystals adorn these duchess satin ears finished with a silk bow. I’ll keep the price private for now but phew 😳 those little guys aren’t cheap!

I’m never one to shy away from a challenge and these were certainly a challenge! My client sent me the green fabric for the bow from across the Atlantic and asked me to source a specific colour for the crystals, a colour they no longer produce - but I found it!!

Making the bow was a trial and error process, mostly errors. A slippery silk is not ideal for sewing but after around 10 discarded attempts (I also had to teach myself how to make a puffy bow by the way) I managed it!

When the ears were finally finished both of us thought they looked great, and still a fraction of the price of the Disney 100 version…… 👀 oh and they have lots more crystals too 😂
