🎪 Wem Carnival is here — and we’re bringing the games to the Gala Field!

We are running free boardgaming all day on the Gala Field during the Carnival, so swing by, grab a seat, and enjoy some easygoing fun between the festivities. Perfect for families, friends, and anyone who wants a breather from the bustle.

And if you want to take in the Carnival from above, the Troll Cave shop is open too, offering a lovely aerial view of the parade route — plus coffee, tea, cakes, and all your gaming favourites.

Learning Magic: The Gathering has never been easier — or cheaper!

As a WPN store, we’re provided with Welcome Decks specifically for introducing brand‑new players to Magic, and we offer these sessions completely free of charge.

If you’ve ever been curious about Magic, pop in and give it a go. We’ll sit with you, teach you the basics, play a few turns, and you’ll even get to keep your deck once you’re done.

Join us this Saturday for a full day of free, family‑friendly fun as part of Summer in Wem.

🎲 Free Board Gaming (10am – 6pm)
Drop in any time, grab a table, and enjoy our board game library at no cost.

🎨 Paint a Miniature Activity (10am – 6pm)
Pick one free miniature — a Stormcast Eternal or a Space Marine Infernus Marine — paint it in‑store, and take it home when you’re done.
One per person.

🥤 Stay Cool With Our Drinks
We’ll be serving iced coffees, chilled soft drinks, and our indulgent ice cream milkshakes all day to help you beat the heat while you play and paint.

We’re open into the evening for our regular D&D sessions, and we still have some space available if you’d like to join an adventure.

🔥 Next weekend is the big one — Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon launches on 20th June!

We’re opening early at 9am thanks to our Warmachine tournament, so you can dive into 11th Edition games bright and early.

Are you planning to just swing by and grab the box, or are you sticking around for some launch day gaming? We’ll have 2 full‑size tables and 1 Combat Patrol table ready to go.

Space will be tighter than usual because of the tournament, so booking ahead is the safest way to guarantee a table.
