A collection of 4 baskets in natural white and natural green willow, though I didn't manage to properly reflect the greener tone of the green willow, so it looks more brown than it is.

This is a lovely kitchen end unit with our baskets to finish it off. We used a little green willow in the design, to add a bit of colour. Of course, it's the customer's design!

just blends into its surroundings. This basket is made from buff and steamed willow. That's the dark brown part. It's called 'steamed' because of the process of achieving the colour which the growers describe as steaming. This is putting the willow into hot water and boiling for just long enough for the bark to soften & pick up the colour from the water. The water had previously been used to boil willow intended for stripping for about 10 hours during which the water becomes stained from the bark.

We are ever busy and recently, among many other things, supplied a stack of washing baskets and some partially made ones for the TV company producing the new series of Strike - due out soon; 12 beautiful hampers for 'new kind of hospitality' on the north coast of the Scottish Highlands.https://wildland.scot/properties/hope/
and, in the photo, a couple of baskets for a cosy shepherd's hut

Boot room baskets are probably one of the most requested baskets we have. These are made from buff and green willow using randed weave, with a track border which gives that flush clean finish. Fingerholes for easy access.

Usually we're trying to match baskets, but it also works when you have 2 complete opposites... the weave, the colours, the border and the handles are all different, but look great together. Maybe the consistent buff, unites them...
