Two years of the Bradford Superstore and we’re feeling a little emotional.

From our very first pop-up stall to selling over 2,300 pieces in-store and online, this little hub has grown into something pretty special.

Together we’ve:

🧵 Rescued 1.2+ tonnes of textiles
⏱ Logged 1,600+ volunteer hours 🌍 Saved ~13t CO₂e

But more than the numbers, it’s been about the moments. Launch parties, wreath making chaos, our first eBay live, collabs with Nicole Akong and Singer, and our incredible community.

To our 34 volunteers, our partners, and every person who’s shopped, donated, or hyped us up, you’re the reason this works.

Here’s to more fashion, more fun, and way less waste 💚

💚 A little plea from the team at Barnardo's West Kirby 💚

We've noticed a real decline in the quality of donations being brought into the shop recently, and we'd really appreciate your help.

As a charity, we rely on generous donations of good-quality, saleable items to raise vital funds. Unfortunately, when we receive items that are damaged, heavily worn, broken, stained or otherwise unsellable, it costs the charity both time and money to sort, handle and dispose of them.

Before donating, please ask yourself: "Would I be happy to buy this?" If you're unsure whether something is suitable for sale, please feel free to ask a member of our team – we're always happy to help.

Every bag of quality donations helps us support the children, young people and families who rely on Barnardo's services. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate such wonderful stock.

And remember, if an item has truly reached the end of its life, we're lucky enough to have the West Kirby Recycling Centre just over the bridge for responsible disposal.

We’re looking for good quality toy donations this week to sell over half term next week.

If you have any unwanted toys in great condition that are no longer needed — including games, puzzles, dolls, action figures, baby toys, or educational toys — we’d love to give them a new home!
