I've been thinking a lot about this question lately...who are dog replicas actually for?
When people see my work, I think that the first thing that comes to mind is probably someone who has lost their beloved dog and wants a memorial. And yes, that is a huge part of what I do. ♥️
But the more replicas I make, the more I realised there are so many different reasons someone may want a replica.
-It could be a dog walker that has formed a special bond with one of their clients.
-It could be someone wanting to give a very personal gift
-It could be someone with an older dog who wants to capture them exactly as they are now.
-It could be an older person facing the heartbreaking decision to re-home their cherished friend when moving into care.
-It could be someone living with Alzheimer's, where a familiar little replica may bring back memories of a much loved pet.
-Or someone with Autism who finds the loss or absence of a beloved animal particularly difficult.
And then there are the people who just look at their dog and think...
"I want a little tiny wool version of my dog, that will be cute"
And no matter what the reason, I love making them.
So what would be your reason? Click on the link in my bio to find out more info. And share, like and tag people on this post who may be perfect for a replica of their own.
