🌟🌟 IT'S SECOND HAND SEPTEMBER! 🌟🌟 When did you last visit your local Weldmar Hospicecare shop to see the incredible range of quality fashion and accessories on offer?

Throughout this month, look out the fabulous outfits that we'll be sharing, showing just what you can find in our shops, outlets and superstores. All of the clothes have been chosen by the members of our team who are the 'stars' of our Second Hand September campaign.

They are: Ali Caldwell, Head of Weldmar's Specialist Hospice at Home, Weldmar Counsellor Zoe Ryan, Assistant Practitioner Melanie Cairnduff, and volunteer Terry Gillingham.

Check out these pics for starters - every single one of these wedding guest-ready outfits cost less than £30 - even the suit, shirt and tie!

Here at St Thomas Street, we have reinstated our ever popular vintage corner! However, this time, we'll be adding in not only vintage and retro treasures, but all the other little oddities and miscellaneous trinkets that we are grateful to have had donated.

Come in and find your key piece for the upcoming season, clothing to rework into something iconic, an oddity for the curiosity cabinet or just for that nostalgic feeling. We aim to support second/ third and fourth hand shopping and promote sustainability 🌍.

You may have seen that we've recently launched a series of new fundraising challenges, including a unique nighttime hike to the top of Snowdon and a once-in-a-lifetime overseas challenge to Cambodia.

If you've been thinking about signing up and are pondering gear, please do visit a Weldmar shop. We often have donations of excellent quality outdoor gear from walking boots and rucksacks to helpful guidebooks!

Wow!😍One for the handbag fans...

We get some incredibly generous donations, and we're so thankful! This evening on our eBay shop, we have a one-of-a-kind, Pom Pom London burgundy leather crossbody bag.

It's a sample bag that never made it to production, which makes it completely unique.

You'll be able to find this listing on our eBay shop from tonight, Tuesday 4th August 2026, at 7pm.

It's the first of two bags donated, and the other will go live on Thursday at 7pm.

Who’s going to Camp Bestival? 🙌

Some of the Weldmar Retail Team and an amazing bunch of volunteers are running a stall there this weekend.

X marks the spot on the map, and they’ve got all kinds of treasures! From jazzy pre-loved outfits to festival essentials like wellies and sparkly cowboy hats.

Last year we even had a visit from Josie Gibson, who is just as lovely as she is on the telly. She probably won’t be needing that sunflower brolly this year though…

We’re also still open of course, so if you’re looking for last minute outfits, bags, shoes, or things to keep the kids amused before you head off for some summer fun, pop in and see us. And don’t forget your sun cream! ☀️

What are your favourite summer reads? We asked a few customers what kind of book they'd take on holiday with them or sit in the garden with, and put foward some of our favourites to create a 'Summer Reads' display ☀️

Paperbacks have been flying off the shelves as tourists, cruise ship passengers and locals find something of interest, be it fiction, autobiographies or coastal walks maps! If you've finished your latest reading adventure, we'd love to recieve your good quality paperbacks, and you might find your next summer story waiting for you in our store!
