Phew!

Summer is over and what a summer it was!

Thanks to the prolonged great weather, we had our best summer to date, with more customer visits and loads of great feedback from both first time and returning holidaying visitors.

We are always looking at ways we can improve the business and have been working behind the scenes to improve our offering around buying, selling and trading card singles. As a result, we are planning on switching our IT partners to a UK based company.

With that said, we will require the website to be put into maintainance mode on the 22nd September and we may be down for 48hrs whilst our partners work on the back end of the website and data.

Although not ideal, we have picked the quietest point of the month for web traffic to try an minimize any disruption.

So, if you are looking to order for later in the month, we would thoroughly recommend ordering in good time.

As summer has ended, and the nights are drawing in, we have turned our attention to Halloween here at Boss Minis!

We have had loads of new arrivals hit the shelves this week with more to come and that doesn't even include some of the boardgames that we stock that are on point this spooky season!

The summer holidays are over, the kids are back to school; but that didn’t stop people of all ages flocking to Boss Minis for our Pokémon & Lorcana league meets last night. We had a staggering 46 people playing across the two sessions!

It was a good evening for Dark types, with the entire podium led by them.

Mike H, a Pokémon Professor himself, took the win with Mega Darkrai ex & Volcanion ex. He was the only player to achieve a 4-0 record on the night. Congrats!

In 2nd we had Cameron D, playing a deck full of N’s Pokémon, most notably Zoroark ex & Darmanitan. He was one of 5 people with a 3-1 record, but came 2nd thanks to a crazy Op win % of 70.83%. A tough night for Cam and a great finish.

Finally, the podium was rounded out by regular high finisher Marc C. He was able to take 3rd place with his beloved Tyranitar, pairing it up with the mighty Budew.

Boss Minis is excited to bring you a Bandai TCG night starting on Tuesday the 6th Oct, running every week from 7pm to 10pm!

This is just the start of the journey with a focus on One Piece and Gundam, but as the community grows, we will look to introduce other Bandai games.

Joining the Bandai organised play program is the first step with our first set pre-release events booked in for February 2027 and those that have supported the community the most will get first refusal on premium events. as the playing community grows, we will get allocated more stock, so if you would like to get hold of new product easier, join us each week and be part of the founding community of your favourite IP.

We will do what we can to have some starter decks available, but we cannot guarantee this as stock allocation is very scares at present, so be prepared to build your own deck before coming along.

So grab your friends and join us at Weymouth's original FLGS for an action packed night of card game fun.
