Say hello to our visitor today, Buddy the Black Labrador! He was such a good boi, lying down as his mum was being fitted for a very comfy pair of Meindl shoes!

Before and after! As part of our free boot fitting service, we make modifications to customer footwear to ensure a customised and comfortable fit. Below, we have the Meindl Meran, a wide-fitting nubuck leather that required a bunion stretch to the shape of this individual's foot shape; after steaming, stretching and waxing, the boot looked and felt incredible! Similarly, the same for the Meindl Philadelphia shoes with 3 Feet High insoles for added foot support. Happy feet! 👣

For those who have been following Joe Madden, an amputee from Barrowford, taking on the challenge of conquering all the Wainwrights, we have an update!

Joe started the Wainwrights as a way of challenging himself and is now using them as a way of giving back to the local community and raising money for Pendleside Hospice. Since the start of his journey back in 2024, he now only has 5 of the 214 Wainwrights left to conquer, with the last one scheduled for 20th September!

As it stands, Joe has raised £6,635 of his £7000 target, so between now and this weekend (end of 8th August 2026), we here at Whalley Warm and Dry will match what is donated up to £100! (Total)
