We do try very hard to accommodate people ; we really do. Without exception I try to remain polite, courteous . And well mannered when posting or replying to emails , messages etc .
One hopes that the hospitality and cooperation shown is in some way reciprocated.
However today : Sunday I had plans to get the final preparations done for a business trip I have next week . A LOT to sort out for that trip . A young man calls , needs his rifle re barreled in short order . Can’t make it during the week can’t make it on Saturday. I agreed to make the journey into the workshop on Sunday on the proviso that he be there in the morning before midday. As I have a lot to do .
The upshot is he did not turn up , no phone call . No email , no text nothing . So a wasted day for me .
Do not be surprised when in future that such accommodations have been withdrawn. Not just for one but for Everyone !!!!!
Common courtesy dictates that you inform someone if you cannot make the appointment. My time is a precious as everyone else’s . Do not waste it .

A wonderful surprise awaited me when I dropped in to West Midlands Shooting Ground on Saturday to catch up with old friends and clients alike .
Abbie Shorter the creative genius behind Precision Pickles shooting products presented me with a truly magnificent desk organiser resplendent with the Brock and Norris honey badger !!!!!
Abbie said it was for services rendered and help given . I was delighted and very humbled to be held in enough regard that she would create such a wonderful gift. THANK YOU PICKLE !!!!! Ps I take the hint I will get my desk organised. 😂😂😂

This weekend saw another 2 day PRS22 match shot at the stunning and equally testing course at the sweat Midlands Shooting Ground, be Hodnet .
Wonderfully balmy conditions on Saturday saw a large number of shooters separated by only a couple of points . Sunday gave way to more testing, windier weather . Some great shooting was seen on both days and as always a fantastically friendly atmosphere was the norm with experienced shooters helping and encouraging newcomers to the sport . Simply marvellous!!!
Brock and Norris shooters did very well with Joe Pask in top spot , The one and only Ryan Charlton in second and Charles Martin in third . Ladies honours fell to the lovely Annie Lou Charlton. Top junior and top Marksman was won by Riley Cooper.
Special mention must go to 11 year old Nina “noodle “ Spedding who is improving shoot on shoot . Cleaning the tank trap stage and getting a huge cheer from her squad : well done Noodle !!!

Every now and then we build a rifle that becomes more than the sum of its parts. Through careful planning and component selection it becomes a purpose built precision instrument. This is one of those rifles!

Starting with an Impact Precision NBK action, which is a lightened version of their world renowned competition actions. Featuring deep bolt fluting and a split integral locating rail. Thanks to C2 Precision for providing the action.

We dialled in and fitted a carbon fibre 22”, 1:7 twist, .224 cal PROOF Research Sendero barrel. Once again the bore was dialled in for zero runout. Following a recent upgrade to the high pressure oil flush, the chamber finish was quite possibly the best to leave the workshop! The 22 Creedmoor JGS Reamer cuts beautifully.

Fire control comes from a Gold Triggertech Diamond, set for a crisp and controllable 1.5lb break - This being a night hunting rifle, control is important! Noise suppression comes from Wildcat Moderators in the form of their very Gucci Titanium Elite Compact!

The chassis is another Gucci component, a prototype of MDT Sporting Goods new DRT (Dead Right There), Magnesium hunting chassis. It’s lightweight, folding and shoots like a heavy race rifle. Knowing some of the work which has gone into this behind the scenes it looks like another marvel from Canada!

To top all of this off is a Pulsar Helion 2 XL50 LRF, held securely in place by MDT rings. The rifle zeroed in just 3 shots, with another 3 to confirm seeing a clover leaf at 100m. A conservative charge of Hornady Superperformance saw an average MV of 3360fps from 62gr Hornady VT’s!

We look forward to seeing and hearing more reports from the field on this rifle and will have it on display at The Stalking Show in April. Should you wish to embark on a similar project be sure to pay us a visit!
