This is what I mean when I talk about a theme being completely brought to life. 👀

One of the first events I experienced during Hvar was 1001 Dalmatia, and from the moment I stepped into the room, the creative direction was everywhere.

The monochrome look gave the whole room such a strong identity. Oversized polka dots transformed the walls, while the black and white geometric flooring carried that bold graphic feel across the room.
The curved white seating softened the stronger patterns, with striped tables and fringe detailing adding another layer of interest and movement.

What I loved was how none of those choices stood alone. Together, they gave the room such a strong identity and completely shaped the atmosphere.

And then the guests arrived dressed to match.

That was probably the part I loved most.
The people in the room became part of the overall look, so the theme felt immersive rather than something that had simply been styled around them.

It really showed how even the simplest theme can make such an impact when it’s carried through the room, the details and even the people experiencing it.

Debbie has just returned from Hvar, Croatia, where she joined RSVP | Global Luxury Event Industry Network a global community for the elite of the luxury events world for a few unforgettable days bringing together wedding and event creatives from around the world.

Across the few days, RSVP hosted a series of events that brought everyone together through some really memorable experiences, each with its own completely different creative direction.

From the 1001 Dalmatia welcome evening and symposium discussions to the Veiled Intentions Gala, the yacht trip and the final farewell party, there was so much packed in.

There was, of course, plenty of time to enjoy Hvar along the way.

But being part of RSVP is also about stepping outside the day to day, exchanging ideas, seeing different approaches to design and returning with a fresh perspective.

And the events themselves are a huge part of why being there is so inspiring. The scale of the styling, the florals, the production and the way each setting is completely transformed takes event design to another level.

Being surrounded by that level of creativity and coming away with new ideas, different approaches to styling and fresh ways of looking at florals, colour and room design is a huge part of why opportunities like this matter.

It all comes back into HOV, helping us keep evolving creatively, challenge the way we think and bring fresh ideas into the work we create for our clients.

And we can’t wait to share more of that inspiration with you, from the styling and details that caught her eye to the ideas that really got the creative mind working… 👀

Got a big idea? We can make it a reality…

M Productions came to us with a vision for this event at Hilton London Wembley, and this is exactly where our in house production team comes into its own.

For this one, that meant creating a series of bespoke designs to help define the look and give the concept its impact.

From the statement stage backdrop with its white gloss surround and warm illumination to the beautiful pleated draping.
And those details in the draping?
Just look at them.

Then came the oversized circular mirror, bespoke bar and illuminated dividers, all bringing the finished look together.

And projects like this don’t always begin with a fully formed brief.

It might be a sketch, an inspiration image or even something created using AI and wondered, could this actually be made?

With creatives, makers and production all under one roof,
we can take that first spark and develop it into something completely unique to your event.

Since my last Founder Diaries update, it feels like we’ve barely stood still.

There have been site visits for weddings already taking shape for next year, event installations, new Christmas concepts being developed, sourcing for festive projects and plenty happening behind the scenes with the team.

One of the highlights was creating the stage set for global wellbeing expert Koya Webb, then having the opportunity to stay for the event and spend some time learning about wellbeing and leadership too.

There have also been the slightly more unexpected moments, from trying a new matcha to delivering Zammy ready for PeakesFest. No two days ever really look the same here.

That’s one of the things I love most about running House of Verve. One day we’re planning a wedding, the next we’re creating an event set, sourcing for Christmas or working out how to transport a zebra.

Busy, varied and never boring.

And judging by what’s already in the diary, there’s plenty more to come.
