Hi fairy ☺️ how’s your week been?

We’ve been getting quite a lot of gardening done between showers. The bees are appreciating our efforts and in the afternoons we often find many of them sleeping in these flowers, aren’t they cute!

I’ve been making some sea themed bags this week, a few purses to match them too.

I’ll need to get a nice picture of them to share, maybe time for a nice product shot at the beach .. in the meantime here’s something I made this afternoon. I love the supercute foxes 🦊

How is it June already, we’ve barely had a spring yet!
After a weekend of gardening I’m back to some sewing! More we purses, puffins, shells and other beachy themes coming.

There will also be vast amounts of tea being drunk and a murder mystery to listen to - if you have any recommendations for audiobooks please let me know 😅

Talking of tea, this is my latest ‘favourite mug’ it came to me from a dear family friend no longer with us. There’s a makers mark on the bottom so I googled and it led me to this amazing artist!

Evening ☺️ it’s been really mixed weather this week, we’ve had icy cold and dull, bright sunshine and calmish, some beautiful sunsets, and today it’s really strong winds! The pegs were being thoroughly tested 🤣

I’ve had lots of visitors to my studio this week, it’s been really lovely meeting new folks, one newly engaged couple even fed the pet lambs while they visited ☺️ thanks to all of you who took the time to drop in, I really hope you enjoyed your visit to Stronsay!

I’ve been busy between the garden and my studio, either weeding, mowing, sewing or sowing, everything needs doing at once!

Hello how’s your week going?

I’m just popping online to say thank you to everyone who supported the Stronsay craft fair on Saturday and of course to the community association for hosting the event. ☕️🍪🧁

It’s always lovely to see what everyone has been making, the youngsters with their stalls and of course the delicious baking on offer!

My stall was a bit mix n match, I never know what to take along 🥴 but hopefilly it was bright and cheery!

I’ve got a rather sore back at the mo and it’s limiting what I can do so I have a waterbottle, an audiobook on, a cosy, countryside cafe murder of course 😂 and I’m cutting fabric for a cute reversible pinafore dress.

Can any of you guess what the reverse fabric will be to go with these adorable strawberries 🤭🧚 what will it feature?

Hi ☺️ I’m still sewing for tomorrow, it’s been waistcoats today, farm themed, tractors, sheep, hens and veggies.
I love the veggie fabric 😍 what do you think?

Hello I’m back to sewing this week as lambing has finished!
Unfortunately we’ve ended up with four pet lambs, two pairs from sets of triplets. This white pair are finally drinking from bottles and no longer needing to be tube fed. They’re looking a bit scrawny but will soon come on now.
It’s the Stronsay spring craft fair on Saturday so I r been making some farm themed kiddies clothes and of course the wee purses.
It’s a lot of prep getting fair ready, and there’s always something I forget 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I do have a list ..

Hope to see plenty of folks dropping by for a browse a natter and a cuppa, it’s always a nice social event!

Now lambing is behind us I can tidy up the boot room which is the entrance to my studio stairs!

My studio/shop will be open to visitors in the afternoons from Monday 18th of May 🧚
Morning visits available by prior arrangement 🧚
