We are sad to announce that Silly Goose café at The Rum Story will close on Saturday 11th April.

All of us are grateful to Magda for restarting the café last summer in honour of her sister Eva, who died tragically less than a year after the two sisters brought Silly Goose to The Rum Story together. It's been a popular addition to our visitor attraction and will be greatly missed both by us and the wider local community.

Magda's last day of trading will be 11th April, after which the café will be closed temporarily while we confirm new arrangements.

Expressions of interest are welcome from anyone wishing to discuss opportunities to use the café space. Please email our CEO Deanne Shallcross at [email protected] by 4pm Thursday 9th April and one of our team will respond in due course.

We hope everyone will support Magda as much as possible before she closes. Come and make the most of her amazing food while you can!

The Rum Story attraction itself remains open 7 days a week, 10am-4pm, and until someone new moves into the café a small choice of hot refreshments will be available to buy from our courtyard shop, as we've done in the past.
