Hey guys!! Hope you’re all doing well ❤️

I’ve been taking things easy since closing The Potted Plant (I can’t believe it’s been 8 months already 🥲). I’m popping up now to share some news AND an opportunity for a plant lover to make some extra cash 🙌

Firstly, I’m really excited to say that I’ll be moving to Edinburgh in a couple of months to study Horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens. I’m buzzing!! There’s nowhere else on Earth I’d rather study plants. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

For the last few months I’ve been caring for the indoor plants at OMNI . If you’ve been, you know they have some SERIOUSLY beautiful plants! They’re honestly a joy to work with and the team there are equally delightful.

With me moving, they’ll need to find a replacement to care for their jungle which is where I think you plant nutters can help. Here’s what you need to know:

- Roughly 2 hours per week, plus additional time for repotting and maintenance when required
- £15 p/hour
- Ability to identify and treat common pests preferable
- Some experience of repotting and propagating would be beneficial
- There will be a crossover period where I can supervise/train you to fill any gaps in your knowledge and show you the ropes at OMNI 🌱
- Once I‘ve left, you will need to work independently and the plants will become yours to love and care for
- You will need the ability to communicate your needs with the Omni team. Whether you require more soil, pots or fertiliser or you have recommendations for the plants, communication is key 🔑

Lastly, you will need to be available outside of OMNI’s opening hours, preferably in the mornings before they open up. I’m usually there at 8AM on a Monday but we can discuss your unique needs if that slot wouldn’t work for you :)

Obviously the job is better suited to a local as it’s generally only a couple of hours per week, but if you’re happy to travel then we can certainly chat!

XL Rhaphidophora tetrasperma 🌿

This big beauty is around 6ft tall and its vines are currently tied to a trellis. It comes with the ceramic pot in the video ✌️

It can be delivered locally or you can pick it up from my HQ in Wallsend if you have a van/car large nenough :)

It’s currently growing wild with its vines growing past the top of the trellis - I’d recommend his new owner takes cuttings from the top and plants them at the base ✂️ I can help take you through this if you’re not sure.

Looking for around £80-£100 for the plant + pot, though I’m happy to consider reasonable offers ❤️

I’m back from Mexico! 🇲🇽

The food was incredible, the sun was HOT AF and the abundance of tropical plants was STUNNING. So many popular houseplants like Dieffenbachia, Tradescantia, Syngonium and Philodendron all grew like weeds which meant I got endless funny looks from the locals when I stopped to take photos 😂

I’m delivering as usual this Wednesday and will be at on Sunday touting plants in person! Come say hello but please don’t mention my ruby red nose - did I mention it was HOT?! 🥵

How beautiful are these furry Echeveria setosa? They’re commonly called ‘Mexican Firecracker’ but I think they deserve a more cuddly name than that 🥰

Pop them on your sunniest windowsill and water when they’re bone dry and you can’t go far wrong. They’re pet friendly and they’ll flower with bright red blooms in the summer. What’s not to love!
