Another hot & dry volunteer morning on West Cliff Bank. Today we counted and identified butterflies 🦋 We spotted
Small skipper, small white, large white, orange tip, gatekeeper, red admiral, painted lady, common blue, holly blue.
In good numbers for a short survey.

This week I joined a guided tour of gardens with which has to be one of the most civilised ways to network with other Kent businesses.

Thank you for the hospitality and enjoyable few hours and I look forward to returning for lunch in the near future.

Glorious day for West Cliff Bank July volunteer day. We maintained the nature path and weeded the butterfly bed. Earning a 10/10 approval rate from the pollinators buzzing around us🐝

Always enjoy the couple of hours I put in every month with fellow volunteers at nature bank. It’s a great way to connect with like minded people and nature. Next date to join us 4th July.

I know Chelsea Flower Show was soooooo last week but forgive me being late to the party with the Fuchsia Green Edit. The day was hot hot hot & extremely busy. I’m please to see a shift back to garden spaces designed with a perfect balance of hard scape to planting enabling nature & people to live life in tune. I’m especially inspired by the small gardens and trade stands that have plenty of ideas to take away for future design projects. With natural woodland planting still centre stage, The Tate Britain garden offered a new woodland / sub tropical palette for urban environments which I’m looking forward to seeing in situ at the gallery soon .

Highly recommend a visit to . Plenty of horticultural delights and things to see if you like that sort of thing ! It was lovely to catch up with Tony & Momo again who are part of the garden team and doing an amazing job keeping it ship shape for visitors .

Nothing better than a market mooch in the sunshine with friends. Faversham antique market is held on the first Sunday of the month. Expect a wonderful atmosphere and an eclectic mix of French vintage,mid century & rustic treasures. You never know what you’ll find .

Delightful day in the garden with family to celebrate a special ladies birthday. Enjoyed setting the scene for an afternoon of eating, drinking and laughter !

Found a good use for all those magazines I’ve been collecting for years . Makes the most beautiful bunting - who knew (?)
