New Release day!
It's been a while since I released a new kit. The eagle eyed amongst those of you who attended the Stoneleigh show today may have spotted this one on a certain WW1 layout!
It is based on wagons used in the Tank Corps workshops at Tenuer in France. The engine is based on a Ricardo engine as used in many British Mark V tanks.

The kit comprises of laser cut MDF, brass eyelet bearings, stainless steel axles and 3d printed ABS (wheels and Ricardo engine).

The 10hp McEwan Pratt loco shown in the second photo is not part of the wagon kit.

There are (at time of posting) 8 kits available on Ebay for £16.50 each (plus p&p).

Alternatively they can be ordered direct by emailing [email protected] or by private messaging this page.

A well loaded Invicta Model Works Corris slate trestle wagon built and detailed by John Conder for his Corris train. John upgraded to heavier brass tube for the wheel bearings to cope with the substantial load of real slate (cut down from coasters).

Unfortunately, I won't be attending the Kent Group's meet at Higham tomorrow as I had planned due to illness. My apologies to anyone that had hoped to buy some kits - I should be back to health for the January meet!

It's New Kit Day!

This time it is a 16mm scale, 32mm gauge kit of the Croesor Tramway wagon as used in the Parc and Croesor Quarries in Wales before being donated to the Ffestiniog Railway in the 1950s where they were used to carry ash. The original wagons were horse drawn and have no underframe; the axles boxes are fitted directly to the underside of the wagon.

The kit itself contains all the parts needed to make this diminutive wagon; mdf parts, brass eyelet bearings, metal fixings, stainless steel axles and 3d printed ABS plastic wheels. And of course, full instructions with photos throughout.

All for £9.50 (+p&p)

At time of posting this up there is a batch on Ebay, but these tend to sell fast, but they can also be ordered direct by emailing [email protected] or messaging the Invicta Model Works page.

Loco number 3 sits patiently in the halt siding with a goods train of Invicta Model Works wagons. Sunday was a perfect afternoon for running some trains... and to test run the prototype of a new IMW kit (watch this space😁).

On Monday the 16mm Association's 16mm Today dropped through the letterbox with an article on building an IMW WDLR B Class wagon kit!
Thank you to Brian Torrens for the article and the kind words and to Mick Blowfield for offering kit manufacturers the chance to participate in this fantastic article series. I also spotted some IMW popping up in the pages of the Bulletin too!

IMW kits can be ordered via email to [email protected] or by sending a message to the Invicta Model Works page.
