Hello everyone π hope you're keeping well
I've been making hats lately as a way of using up some of my yarn stash and making space for some absolutely glorious new yarns
I really enjoy the versatility of a hat because theres no one set way to make one and you can just go with the flow and see what happens. No patterns have been followed here, its just repetitive stitching then finishing it off and plonking it on a head π
The first on is a glorious wool yarn by Sealy MacWheely in the 'Maya Angelou' colour way and it was an absolute dream to work with π
The second in progress hat is a lovely denim blue colour wool from Kingscraig in Brora and i'm just obsessed with it
The third work in progress is acrylic yarns from paintbox for a change of texture and a mix of colour and is turning out beautifully for only starting it last night
Finally I had a glorious delivery of wool from Caithnessyarns yesterday and i'm absolutely delighted with them. The colours are so pretty and the wool is so beautiful and soft and will be a dream to work with
The pink is 'New Dawn Rose Pink', the darker purple is 'Northern Marsh' and the lighter purple is 'Spear Thistle Lilac' and the wool is from the Caithnessyarns farm so it really is supporting a small and local business π
I think Rupert's favourite is the gorgeous pink one π
