Far North Gifts and Gallery

Well, it's that time of year once more. The weather is supposed to be improving together with the arrival of visitors to Caithness.

We will be opening again on Sunday 26 May - tomorrow and our hours will be 10 till 4 (closed Monday and Saturday) as usual.

What will change is that we will now be Sunnycroft Cottage Studio and hope this will better reflect what we sell - handcrafted and mostly locally made one of a kind items. Of course, Tim's art is the main event, but we will still have hand painted stones, jewellery, greetings cards, print, glass, and many other items available.

Do consider a trip to visit us - some of our signs might still show Far North Gifts, but these will be changing over the next couple of weeks!

This year we have some delightful work by local fused glass artist, Lesley Forrest. Her delightful hanging birds start at £12.95 with trinket dishes and and plaques ranging in price up to £27.95. We're sure you'll agree they are so happy and cheerful! Why not visit us and see just what we have to offer?

We re-open on Wednesday
16 August now that we have got past the health issues and can give the Gallery our proper attention.

Unfortunately, Janet has a health issue which will prevent us opening during this month as anticipated. We'll update once we know more and know an opening date. Apologies to anyone planning to visit.

I know this isn't really Gallery related but hope this reaches more people than just my private page.

Those who know where the Gallery is will know it is on a very quiet road and all has been well for many years, but one of our young cats, Baxter, was knocked over recently and the vet's costs have hit us hard. Janet has set up a GoFundMe as apart from the vets, travel and accommodation, we are now going to "catify" part of our garden. Some of these costs are just not foreseeable and any help from you cat lovers out there would be really appreciated!

Spring has finally sprung - there are lambs aplenty in the fields around us and that means it must be Easter and we're open on Sundays from 12 - 4 during the rest of April before going to full hours in May.

We've had a major reshuffle and have more paintings to view together with lots of lovely temptations!
