A very special half & half memory bear 🤍
This bear has been made from the clothing of two much-loved people, bringing two precious pieces of clothing together in one keepsake.
One side is a pretty pink floral print, while the other is a black striped shirt — a combination that makes this bear really stand out.
It might look like a straightforward make, but half & half bears are actually a little trickier than you might think!
+ Pattern placement is key — especially when working with stripes and floral prints. Patterns can really trick the eye, so getting everything sitting correctly makes a huge difference to the finished bear.
+ Stuffing is important too — both sides need to be balanced carefully so the bear keeps its shape and neither side looks heavier or fuller than the other.
There’s a lot more that goes into creating a beautifully balanced memory bear than simply cutting and sewing pieces together. Every detail matters when you’re working with such precious clothing.
