Next week ‘is support your local small business week’
It would be great if you could all support us …there aren’t many Model shops left on the High street but we are more than just a Model shop. After being here in Widnes for 15years we pride ourselves in being very focused on our locality and the people we serve. We are here for you not ourselves and do our utmost to help.

So… ok…. we have sunshine and at last it’s stopped raining onward and upward and deliveries on the move again.
This week we’ve had Expo bring modelling tools HobbyCo bringing Tamiya kits and paints Hornby dropping off Scalextric. Batman and Juicyfruit branding. ..( everyone must remember Juicyfruit long sticks of chewing gum ??) Anyway we have these new Scalextric cars in.
From Tamiya some new RC Build your own cars a 1/10th Ford Ranger, Subaru and BMW both 1/10th also. Plus Tamiya Military 1/35th US and Israeli Tanks.
Just a reminder because we’re not sure if we did cover the new Peco stand that came which holds all Gauges in store N,TT120, 00-9 and 00.

That’s you lot for this week we will be in the shop tomorrow Saturday 30th May from 10-4 so do come on down. Don’t for get Fathers Day is looming on Sunday 21st June so if you want that ‘ Special Fathers Day’ gift do let us know.
We’re expecting the Hornby TXS 21 pin decoders and power banks early next week sent out today.

We have to start off by letting you know that we’ve not had too many deliveries this week but anyway everyone is having the same experiences.
It’s a bit of ‘the suppliers not having the supplies’ and generally the way it goes at the moment we don’t have many orders being placed by our ever regular and new customers.
We do though have in our store room customer orders
that need collecting please.
It isn’t easy to provide a weekly and interesting update for you when it’s quiet in the home shop front.
However we always find plenty to do locating the hard to find the elusive modelling kit or railway model requests and/or check out what we’re short on to restock.
We understand that we’re not alone but thankfully the good weather has arrived to cheer us all up.
This week we have taken in a delivery from Hornby containing RailRoad
Class 37’s a Steam Tornado plus rolling stock.
Just a reminder that we do have in stock already from Hornby a Flying Scotsman and Mallard both Digital and with Sound RRP £199.99 but for a limited time £109.49.
A second BIG reminder that we have 10% off all Accurascale Railway Models… selling well.

We’ve kept you in the loop with stock deliveries over the last week from Airfix….this week arriving in 1/72 scale the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 ‘Moggy’ & Hawker Typhoon Mk.1b and the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 ‘Blackjack’ & Shorts Tucano T.1
An unusual addition this week a short reel about Widnes and our ‘Widnes Model Shop a guide that was made by Ringo Chan. Something very different and a very different perspective of Widnes and our shop from our Hong Kong friend and fan !

This week the faithful Expo and Javis provided the much needed basic modelling equipment and today we’ve taken in seven (7) boxes from HobbyCo containing Tamiya modelling essentials paints,brushes,masking tapes,sponges etc some new building block the CaDA RC kits for the 6+ ages. Oh and plus more 1/16th RC cars for the younger RC petrol heads.
That’s about it for this week… it’s quiet .. everywhere … but we can restock and catch up at quiet times.
We will be in the shop tomorrow Saturday 16th May from 10am-4pm so if you’ve a spare few minutes do come and see as just to have a look…that’s ok to do.

We brought you up to date on Tuesday with the arrival of long awaited deliveries from Airfix bringing in the Hovercraft, HMS Nelson and plenty of Humbrol paint brush packs.
Since then we’ve had the arrival of more Classic American Car Collectables by AMT and to compliment them and ‘out of this world’ with much loved Sci Fi Star Trek kits. Some restocks while others we’ve not had for a while. Oh before I forget sailing in two lovely affordable RC Tug Boats to pass the afternoon away during the Summer holiday time. At £39.99 can’t complain.
Plenty of weathering Vallejo Paint packs in Black & White, Metallic, Gaming and Military Colours.

We’ve had to wait ages for this order but the long awaited and late afternoon delivery from Airfix with the Vintage Classics BHC SR.N4 Hovercraft in 1:144 scale and HMS Nelson in 1:600 scale and thankfully a restock of Humbrol Brush Packs all in different sizes all arrived.

New to us this week the arrival of Dapol OO Manor ClassLocomotives and all at £99.99 bargain prices. Catalogue numbers range from 4S-001-009 to 4S-001-014.
We also had a huge delivery of N Gauge Oxford Diecast Models. This was because
Barry being a keyboard warrior pressed the send order key and cleared out GaugeMaster’s stock. We managed to find enough room to display them all.
A big ‘jog your memory time’ but to be fair we don’t think we published or posted these before some really nice N Gauge Rapido Trains UK. They’ve been hiding in amongst the Farish N Gauge on the shelves shouting ‘please take us home’ they’re good bargains also. Grab them while you can.
The usual topping up of Modelling ‘must haves’ with the inclusion this week of AK Xtreme Metal Colours and Mig Ammo Panel Line Washes.
That’s plenty for you to digest this week … we will be here in the shop tomorrow Saturday 2nd May from 10am-4pm.
Closed as usual on Bank Holiday Monday open Tuesday.

Yes it’s only Thursday not mid week Important Information Day nor our weekly update Friday.
Just keeping you in your toes to make sure you’re keeping up with us. There are no deliveries tomorrow so we need to let you know what has arrived this during the early part of the week.
