My latest cross stitch piece was picked up at a local charity shop and to keep the good vibes going, I will be donating it to my local Royal British Legion so they can display it or maybe auction it off in aid of veterans.
Poppies will always symbolise Remembrance to me and they're all the more poignant when I look back on my visit to the poppy fields of Flanders in school.

When you think about it, weeds are just wildflowers growing in places we humans find inconvenient.
These dandelions had to go so they don't spread and take all the nutrients from our organic veggies, but this clump just looked so perfectly aesthetic that I had to capture their beauty before I pulled them up.
I know they're good for the local wildlife but I live quite rurally and there's masses of them on the common land not 50 yards from me. I have no worries about the local critters having enough to eat.

We've been scattering poppy seeds on our garden for a couple of years now and we've been blessed this year with quite a few gorgeous yellow and orange blooms nodding in the wind.
