Let us return to Prythian for a readathon of the entire ACOTAR series by@sarahjmaas

May through to September the Books & Brews Book Club will be reading and discussing the series book by book and discussing theories and ideas for Book 6 (released 27th October 2026) and Book 7 (released 12th January 2027). Get a review form from our booksellers, and bring along all of your notes to the Books & Brews Book Club which meets once a month on usually the last Sunday 2-3:30pm at Waterstones Wigan.

Comic Book Club is BACK!

Join us for 2 jam packed sessions to create our own comics ironing inspiration from favourites like Dog Man, Bunny Vs Monkey and the brilliant Donut Squad!

Bring along your favourite pens and pencils if you’d prefer to use your own, but materials are provided by our booksellers. Will you create a superhero story, a science fiction fable or an action packed mystery?

For ages 7-12, two 40 minute sessions on Monday 16th Feb and Saturday 21st Feb! No need to book in, just turn up and join in!

Wanting to join a Book Club in 2026?

Well here at Waterstones Wigan we have a multitude of groups for all ages! 📖✨🎉

We will be starting a Parent and Baby Group in 2026 (keep an eye out for more details soon… 👀)

And our Children’s Book Club will be returning this year with a couple of changes. We will be hosting our 7-12 Book Club during Half Terms and Holidays but the activities are bigger and better than ever, including Comic Book Club! 💥

We have well established book clubs for adults including our Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Club usually held on the first Sunday of the Month. 🧚🐉🧝‍♀️

Furthermore, we have our Books & Brews Book Club whose first meeting will be Sunday 25th January in the shop, 2-3:30pm. We will be book journaling and discussing our reading aspirations for the year. Bring a hot drink and get crafting with us! ☕️

For all ticket holders of our Christmas event tomorrow evening, please arrive between 4-4:30pm so we can get everyone settled before the film begins.

For all customers, access to our children’s section will be restricted from 3pm tomorrow afternoon due to our event in the evening. Our booksellers will be on hand to help in any way we can.
