What a lovely idea this is. ❤️

Please share. Thanks.

UPDATE

After speaking with Charlotte at The Venture, it appears the £800 target I referred to earlier was incorrect. The fundraising target has now been updated, and the remaining amount to reach the overall goal is £1,300.

I'd like to apologise for any confusion and thank Charlotte for taking the time to explain the figures.

Most importantly, I'd like to say a huge thank you to every single person who has donated, shared the post, or offered their support so far. Your generosity has been incredible and every donation is helping to get this important project closer to becoming a reality.

Let's keep the momentum going and help The Venture get this over the line. ❤️

❤️ **Can Highfield do something incredible today?** ❤️

Just **last week**, The Venture, Highfield set themselves a target of raising **£2,000** to install a **community defibrillator** and provide life-saving training through the Oliver King Foundation.

A defibrillator isn't just for The Venture. It's for all of us. It could one day help save the life of a friend, neighbour, family member, customer... or someone simply passing through Highfield.

Imagine if everyone who reads this gave just a couple of pounds...

If you can spare a few pounds, please donate today. Every single pound gets us closer to having something that, one day, could save a life.

❤️ **Please donate if you can, and even if you can't, a simple share could make all the difference.**

"🚨 Blast from the Past at CW Flooring! 🚨

We're proud to be based in this iconic old building—the former Unit 4 Cinema (yep, the old Carlton vibes in Pemberton, Wigan)! Back in the swinging 60s, local legends like The Vigilantes rocked stages around here, including spots like the Carlton Club.

Check out this gem of a photo from back then—featuring Keith Pennington, Phil Taylor, Alan Ashurst, Ray Headland, Adrian 'ady' Bates, on stage at the Carlton Club / Sportsman Club.

Does this ring any bells? Were you (or your family/friends) part of The Vigilantes from Abram/Wigan? Or know Keith Pennington or any of the lads? Drop a comment, tag someone who might remember, or message us if you've got stories, more pics, or connections—we'd love to share the nostalgia and maybe reunite some old mates!

While you're here, swing by for the best deals on carpets, laminates, vinyls, and artificial grass. Roll-end clearances on all the time—pop in Mon-Sat 9-5 at 436 Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, Wigan WN5 9DF.

Who's got memories of live bands at the old cinemas? Let's hear 'em! 🎸🥁 "
