Gravel Blood is a UK, street sports based clothing company with aspirations of becoming an equipment supplier to rival some of the biggest US names in the market place. The UK is one of the biggest players in international sports, football, rugby and cricket being some of the activities. However, we are missing our own identity as far as street sports go. Those games that don’t require a set numbe
r of players, the games played by a group of friends just for fun. The USA lays its rightful claim as the birthplace of many of these sports such as skate boarding and street hockey. Here in the UK, we have a large number of kids and growing, who enjoy these activities and have to rely on our American cousins for the style and equipment. At Gravel Blood we want to put an English stamp on things, all the big names come from over the pond. The idea behind Gravel Blood is making those who feel that sometimes they are an outsider; realise they can be part of something, something they can call their own. There are some famous brands associated with the skating, DC, Zoo York, Element, Independent, Enjoi, Spitfire but these brands only really take on meaning to skaters. There are also companies that have moved out into the mainstream, Vans and Converse being the most recognisable. They appeal to a mass market and not just to those who are into a specific obscure sport. At Gravel Blood we know our place but we also know where we want to be, amongst the big boys and in the UK.Stefan Brought up with skating in his blood, standing on a board soon after learning to walk. He’s ridden most types of street boards and has the scars to prove it.Stefan has the tech know-how to design, manufacture and produce anything required. he has the connections and expertise to give Gravel Blood a strong online presence, a must for any business in the modern retail age. This combination of enthusiasm and experience will make for wild ideas that CAN be put into practise, mixing old gravel with new blood. Stefan brings his crew of modern skaters to the party to become the face and actions of Gravel Blood, the Facebook generation, pushing the concept and the product out to a global audience. The group involves both sexes to prove that street sports are not the preserve of the boys. In fact, the Gravel Blood photographer, Joy, is at university to improve her art. The rest of the group either skate for fun or even work in skate shops.
