You may have seen us sharing IGO Racing Helmets over recent weeks. Today, we’re sharing the bigger story behind their arrival at IC Kartstore.

IC Kartstore is now importing iGO! Racing Helmets directly from iGO! in Italy, bringing UK karters a distinctive alternative backed by specialist advice and a direct relationship with the people behind the range.

We deliberately wanted to take a different route with our helmet offering. Rather than simply adding another widely available brand, we looked for a range with its own identity, a clear Italian motorsport background and options for drivers at different stages of their karting journey.

Last weekend, our own Andrew Platt Racing took the 1999 Birel R932 Formula A kart to Whilton Mill for the Retro Kart Championship O Plate.

Saturday showed genuine pace. Sunday was a much tougher story, and the weekend ended without the result we had hoped for. That is part of racing: take the lessons, do the work and come back better.

At IC Kartstore, karting isn’t simply what we sell, it’s what we do. Keeping karts like this on track, where they belong, is a huge part of why we love the sport.

Thank you to everyone involved in putting on the meeting, and to Stu Stretton for these superb photos.
