Great day on the river today. Day 2 with Angling Trust Auction winner Jim, focusing on feeder fishing for Roach & Dace.
Also dropping in for a few hours, was local rod Liam. Liam was looking to learn a bit more on river rigs & baits. Safe to say, both went away with a bit more knowledge🫡

Day 2 with Tooby from Australia, went over a few methods new to him that he can use once back home. Included a kick sample that he will do on his home rivers. Be interesting to hear what he finds!

Well what day Karl from St Helens AA & LTB hosted yesterday at Carr Mill Dam. Great to see so many families and junior anglers keen to learn a bit more about Pike fishing and Pike welfare.

Incredible shop, a real one off due to the quality Pre-Loved kit. Jon's knowledge of vintage tackle is infectious. I have sourced so much 80'-90's equipment that I didn't ever expect to see again, let alone find for sale.

Been north of the border this week dropping my lad off at Uni. Due to the amount of gear he loaded in the truck, for once I couldn't fit any fishing gear in. However, I've been on a reccy along the mighty Tay. A Grayling lead visit is on the cards once the Salmon season closes. As they say, watch this space!!

Had Max and his friend from the Home Counties with me this week on the Stunning River Kent in Cumbria. Neither had cast a line for the best part of 40yrs! Both went away being able to cast both single handers and lightweight fixed spool set ups. Great couple days coaching the guys.

Mark from Warrington had a great day on the river today. The day started as a short line nymphing day, however due to the versatility of these techniques, the first fish was tricked on a dry! Great day, great company.
