Perched atop a treasure chest adorned with carnelian beads, this hooded crow is inspired by The Crows of Wigtown.

In 1875, the trees surrounding Wigtown Square were home to numerous crows. They became the subject of a lengthy and heated town council debate when a motion to expel the birds was narrowly defeated and the affair reached the national press.

Long associated with mystery, intelligence and resilience, crows have occupied a special place in folklore and imagination for generations. With its watchful stance above a chest of treasure and carnelian beads, this hooded crow evokes those enduring themes of change, wisdom and adaptation.
