Foggie Toddle Books Children's independent bookshop and publishing company in Wigtown, Scotland's National Booktown

Foggie Toddle Books is the children's bookshop in Wigtown, previously known as The Box of Frogs and Curly Tale Books. The name Foggie Toddler is Scots for bumblebee which is why you'll see bees on the logo, sign and in store. The shop sells new and second hand children's books for babies up to young adult, along with classic collectable titles. There is a wide selection of greetings cards, art mat

erials, gifts and toys - many sourced from local artists and artisan makers. We produce the popular Galloway Toons series in partnership with artist Pauline Paterson featuring beautiful prints, mugs, greetings cards and postcards. Jayne is also a writer of books for adults and children and the owner of Foggie Toddle publishing and the imprint Second Sands Publications. Titles include Wheesht, The Castle Cat, The Wee Kirkcudbright Centipede, Walter's Wonky Web, Shona the Vet: A Coast to Coast Adventure, Betty's New Best Friend, Muscle Work, Alcohol and Blame, The Wrecking of the Orion.

We're delighted to be hosting three events during Wigtown Week. We have a storytime on Wednesday at 11am and a return visit by Ruby Zentangle on Thursday afternoon. We finish the week with a fabulous free event with the author of Dougal and the Raiders of the Dark Park. This is a really fun book and Clare will be reading her story and will have activities too.
