I was going to condemn this fire when I arrived, never seen so much soot inside a fire. But the old chap said he loved the fire, so after much cleaning and a new part it's back to life. Sometimes you need to go a bit further. Get your gas fire serviced.

Servicing boiler and unvented cylinder. Unvented cylinders are great & provide lots of high pressure hot water, but they DO need servicing. This one was leaking water from one of it's safety devices. Fixed by the service.
