There’s a ‘back to school’ feeling in the air and we have another packed month of arts and crafts for you to try, buy, make and enjoy here at Walford Mill.
Our exhibition space is taken over by the Wessex branch of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery ACJ Wessex from 2nd-27th Sept and is followed by our 40th anniversary exhibition which begins 30th Sept.
In the education space we have workshops for adults - learn how to draw a donkey foal in coloured pencils, print and make a seed head lampshade, needle felt a robin, learn wet felting or intricate embroidery. See website for all the info and how to book.
Our art workshops for homeschooled children aged 13-18 ‘Mill & Make’ begin this month as do our popular after-school art club CREATE, both taught by
In the pop-up space we have a wonderful mix of makers popping in to sell their creations and there’s a week available - could YOU be the next pop-up maker? Set up and sell Wed 9th to Sun 13th September for just £50. DM for more info.
Don’t forget it’s our craft market every second Saturday of the month (12th Sept) 10-4pm and this month we have Centaur Stage performing in the courtyard too.
And you can watch creativity in action and buy direct from our friendly resident makers year round in their open studios/shops all across the ground floor, before treating yourself to a delicious lunch or cake in Little Pickle at the Mill as you watch the swans glide by on the river.
