Another beautiful day across the Nursery, and lovely to see a number of Hummingbird Hawk Moths busy throughout the afternoon. Always fascinating to watch, these super quick pollinators are hard to follow, but know exactly what they are looking for.
If you want to attract more species to your garden, find some space for Buddleia, Ceratostigma and Salvias - all flowering and available in the Nursery now, and a magnet for these moths yesterday.

A reminder that the Nursery is closed today, Thursday 30th July. We hope you enjoy another lovely day in your garden, and we will be back open as usual tomorrow, from 10am.

This Bees’ Needs Week, we’re thinking about the nectar rich plants in the Nursery, and those that can be added to gardens to provide a plentiful food source to support bees and other pollinators. H**es are a favourite. A wide family of plants, with evergreen foliage, these flower profusely in a choice of colours throughout the summer making them a useful and versatile choice for the garden.

☀️ It may be hot, but there’s shade between our trees, and we’ll be open as usual between 10am and 4pm on Saturday this weekend (closed Sunday) and our usual weekdays next week ☀️
🌸 If you need some colour for the garden; feed to keep your plants and containers looking at their best through this prolonged dry spell; or a good quality mulch to help retain moisture as we continue through the summer, visit our traditional nursery and take a look at our range of plants, composts, feeds and mulches.
