I had to share this message we received from Michelle on Facebook as it is the absolute reason we do what we do. It literally fills my heart with happiness 🤍❤🤍

I was recommended English Scent by a friend, and I’m so grateful they did.
My 8-year-old daughter has suffered with scalp psoriasis for several years, and nothing we were prescribed seemed to help for more than a few days. A friend gave us one of English Scent’s shampoo bars to try, and we noticed a difference almost immediately. That encouraged me to visit the shop to see what else could help.
Helen recommended the scalp treatment, and all I can say is wow! The difference it has made has been incredible. I can now treat my daughter’s scalp as soon as I notice a flare-up starting, rather than waiting until bedtime. Just a few drops and her psoriasis settles again.
We’ve also been using the shampoo and conditioner, and not only have they helped keep her psoriasis under control, but they’ve also left her hair in such lovely condition.
Helen is absolutely wonderful—so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does. She knows every single ingredient in her products and takes the time to recommend what will work best.

It leaves you skin so soft and touchable without the pain associated with lotions with loaded with chemicals. It's a beautiful thick cream that's not greasy and it lasts and lasts so you always feel you have a protective barrier. I love this product! There is something very special about packing orders of Helen’s Magic Cream.

This was our first product, born from my own difficult skin journey and a wish for a rich, effective, natural cream I would genuinely love to use every day. After years of a literal battle with psoriasis on my hands, just two weeks of using my cream and the psoriasis was almost completely healed. I have been psoriasis free ever since.

Now, every time I wrap a tube and send it on its way, I think about the person who will open it. Over the years, I have received so many kind messages from customers telling me how much this little tube has come to mean to them. From eczema to dermatitis, nappy rash to shingles, allergic reactions to heat rash, this cream has soothed and cleared.

It is still our bestselling product—and, for me, it will always be the one that started English Scent.

Made with cocoa butter, shea butter, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, vitamin E and the beautiful essential oils of neroli, sweet orange, rosemary and lavender, it is a deeply nourishing cream for face, hands and body. I still use it as my daily morning moisturiser.

🌿 Inside the Bottle - Sweet Almond Oil

It may not be the most glamorous ingredient on the shelf, but sweet almond oil is one of the quiet heroes of my workshop.

I use it in our solid perfumes and in much of our skincare—and for very good reason.

Sweet almond oil is a wonderful natural emollient, meaning it helps to soften and smooth the skin. Rich in skin-loving fatty acids, it leaves the skin feeling nourished, comfortable and beautifully supple.

It also has a naturally light, silky texture. In our solid perfumes, it glides easily across the skin and works with beeswax to hold the fragrance close to your pulse points—without the need for alcohol.

That is exactly what I love about it: it is simple, gentle and wonderfully versatile.

Sometimes the most effective ingredients are the ones nature has already perfected.

So I created something beautifully simple.
