www.sophiavictoriajoy.com The story of Sophia Victoria Joy began in 2010.

Set up by Sophia (her middle names are Victoria and Joy) the family business runs from her Hampshire-based studio here in the UK. She now has a specially selected team of people working behind the scenes to ensure that every product produced is just as special as the original concept she once dreamed up over a cup of tea. Memories of childhood holidays, lazy summers and cosy winters by the fire or playing in the snow are all a rich source of ideas, woven with the creativity that is Sophia Victoria Joy.

A few days by the sea 🤍

Slow mornings, sandy feet, salty hair and nowhere we needed to be.

Exactly what we needed. x

(Image 1 & 3 are actually last year as I couldn’t resist these)

A few things making me happy lately 🤍

Trainers I’m wearing on repeat, little home finds, beauty favourites, something sweet… and a quiet corner to get some work done.

Nothing groundbreaking. Just the good little things I genuinely love.

The candle is my favourite scent (Volcano from Anthropologie) - it always comes in different designs but the scent is beautiful.

A little reintroduction 🤍

I’m Sophia, and 16 years ago I started a little business called Sophia Victoria Joy from a spare room.

Since then, it’s had rather a lot of homes.

A spare room became a cottage, the cottage became a little barn, then a bigger barn, and eventually we found ourselves in an 8,000 sq ft warehouse with a team of up to 40 at our busiest.

These days, things look a little different.

We’re a much smaller, perfectly formed team — five of us permanently, (3 brilliant studio team members, joined by our brilliant flexi team when things get busy) — and we’re still here making, personalising and sending your orders every day.

There have been thousands and thousands of orders, more products than I could possibly count, plenty of highs, a fair few lessons and 16 years of figuring things out as I go.

And for most of that time, this account has been about the business.

But there’s quite a lot more to me than what happens at work, and I think I’d like this little corner of Instagram to reflect that too.

So alongside Sophia Victoria Joy, I’m going to start sharing more of the things I genuinely love and would recommend to a friend — good finds, home, beauty, lovely places, everyday favourites, behind the scenes and probably the occasional completely random thing I think is worth knowing about.

No dramatic reinvention.

Just a little less shop window, and a little more Sophia.

I think it’s about time 🤍

Waving hello to new faces 👋🏻 Something I’ve been working on over half term, some new friends for our little chocolate reindeer decoration. 🦌

All now available via 🎅

We have got… 🥁 a new Santa, Cheeky Elf, Bear, Christmas Gonk, and a New Penguin. A whole little group of Christmas Decoration Loveliness and it’s so lovely to have them out of the sketch book *yay* and into the wild ready to head off to festive Christmas trees, Christmas tables and little ones stockings ❤️

There’s always a lot going on in my sketch book and I tend not to share too much so setting them free is just the best feeling knowing that soon they will head off to new homes 🎄

(Each decoration comes in a lovely red back with 6 refill chocolate noses 🍫) xx

A busy week here for Father’s Day orders 🫶🏻 (thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️) Our last order date is Friday 12th June. We are also busy uploading new loveliness. Here’s one of my favourites 💓 Now available on 🧁 I love this photo, it’s filled with love and when I designed this one I felt it just needed a pet cuddly snake for the styling.. - the Lego was just to hand on the day down the back of the sofa of course.. 🙃
