Our Macmillan Coffee Friday last Friday was a huge success! We raised £403 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Thank you so much to all that spread the word, came along, baked some delicious cakes and donated to a great cause.

♻️🛍️ With Second Hand September well underway, and Wi******er Green Week taking place from 20 to 28 September, it’s a great time to discover Wi******er’s sustainable stores, markets and events to shop for pre-loved and vintage treasures.

The city is home to a regular Antiques, Vintage, Retro & Collectables Market, as well as a number of events, like pop-up vintage markets and kilo sales, and a seasonal car boot. You'll also find pre-loved fashion boutiques, brilliant charity shops, stores selling unique vintage finds and more than one second-hand book shop in an incredible historic setting!

Just in is this selection of Left Book Club titles and others also published by Gollancz in the 1930s.

The Left Book Club was founded by Victor Gollancz in 1936, offering monthly book choices with left-leaning perspectives to members only. Membership soared from 2,500 in its first year reaching a peak of 57,000 in 1939.
Paperbacks were orange and hardbacks red; the distinctive logo on the cover just off centre to the left.
It ran until 1948, but in 2015 the Left Book Club was restarted.
